CAREERS
Our studio is founded on forward-thinking and collaborative designers. Together we share a passion for creating architecture that fits and flows around future needs, not just those of the present.
What’s it like in Mulroy?
Our studio operates in loose teams of two to four designers who create, design, and deliver projects. This ensures that no one works alone and that everyone’s design ideas are heard. Each team is led by an experienced architect, who manages the day-to-day workflow and supports the next generation of designers. Andrew’s role is that of design critic, driving our ethos and maintaining a culture of continual improvement. We operate a nine-day fortnight in which the studio is closed on alternate Fridays to give everyone the chance to recharge.
Current projects
We’re a collaborative team, and believe that every project is an opportunity for using ambitious architecture to solve problems. This has been recognised in awards and the media since our formation in 2008. Our work is often unusual. Current puzzles that we’re solving range from the conversion of a Grade II-listed barn into a cookery school in Oxfordshire through to the extension and renovation of an eight-storey mixed-use building off Oxford Street in London. These projects sit alongside the continual challenge of raising the quality of the architecture and energy performance of new and existing homes.
